Why Schools Need Career Counselling Sessions?

Any little child when asked what he wants to become when he grows up, immediately replies – a doctor, an engineer, a pilot, a teacher, a policeman,a fire-fighter, Sachin Tendulkar, Shahrukh Khan… the list is endless.

Ask the same person the same question when he/she is an adolescent and he/she will shrug his shoulders and say ‘I don’t know’ or I haven’t decided yet or I am too confused. Choosing a career is a major decision and needs good career planning; it requires matching a person’s interests, aptitudes, skills and personality with the job requirements.
