Environment in schools…
First and foremost, we would like to extend our sincere apologies for the delay in the publication of The Progressive Teacher magazine due to some restructuring happening at our end. It is a pleasure to inform you that the restructuring is now complete and our new team has come up with this May/June 2019 issue. We assure you that you will receive all the pending issues in due course and we really thank you all for your patience and support.
This issue of The Progressive Teacher focuses on Contemporary Curriculum & Content. Contemporary curriculum should provide the bridge between education and development which make education inclusive and equitable, quality learning, promote lifelong learning, and ensure holistic development. Hence the curriculum should represent a conscious and systematic selection of knowledge, skills and values: a selection that shapes the way teaching, learning and assessment processes are organized by addressing questions such as what, why, when and how students should learn.
This issue features articles from veterans in the industry who have shared their views on what the contemporary curriculum and content should encompass and what they expect from it. Teachers would get valuable inputs on how to teach their students and how to make their classrooms more dynamic and interactive.
The next issues of The Progressive Teacher will focus on different topics like Teacher Education – New Perspective; Teachers – Are They Ready for AI; Integrating – Co curricular and Extra-Curricular Activities in Mainstream Curriculum and Integrating Art Education in School.
We invite you all to share your articles, views, etc on the above topics. Interested people can send in their inputs along with their hi-res image and brief profile at firstname.lastname@example.org
