What teachers should do?

Teachers have to believe that the teaching and learning process should not only enable the process of gaining knowledge but also should enhance the social development of the learners. Each learner is different from another; the uniqueness of the learners should be reciprocated with uniqueness in the process of teaching.

Teaching is not just a job where you explain something to your students; it is also a process of learning. We can learn from our students, colleagues, parents, and the community, because every day is learning day.

What is the process of teaching?

The effectiveness of a teaching and learning process is determined with the pedagogical theories which is been employed. Most important need in a teaching and learning process is to enhance character development. The process of teaching should not be abridged within the academic area but should also cover the psychological and personality development of the learners. Being positive with the students gives us the opportunity to change their weaknesses into strength. The strategy to augment the strength of each learner is to respect their unique talent and identifying their weakness. A teacher needs to group his/her learners according to their needs and make sure they reach their target.

When we survey the Indian society, it gives substantial importance to tradition and culture which should be incorporated with our way of teaching. Education has its roots to improve human behavior and morality. Each and every part of the lesson must be taught succinctly with real life examples which will develop the problem-solving ability within the learners. For Instance, when a lesson is incorporated with the current affairs based on political or environmental issue, we have the chance to mold the child’s beliefs and create awareness. Through this process, we have a great chance in inculcating the practical knowledge within the learners.

What is today’s need?

The prime time need today is to tackle between traditional and modern methods of teaching. Even though traditional methods have great impact in the development of a learner, incorporation of new methods creates a better platform to amplify the understanding ability of the learner. The usage of modern technology equips the learners to their contemporary needs.

The strategy to augment the strength of each learner is to respect their unique talent and identifying their weakness. A teacher needs to group his/her learners according to their needs and make sure they reach their target.

How should a classroom be?

The classrooms should be like a cocoon where the students mature into a colorful butterfly. It should be safe, caring and a space where they can open up and mold themselves. Teachers need to help their students to attain betterment in their life.

Teaching is not just a job where you explain something to your students; it is also a process of learning. We can learn from our students, colleagues, parents, and the community, because every day is learning day. Teaching process is not a fixed phenomenon, it is a lifelong process where you learn new ideas and strategies every day.
