OJASVI – 2018


Being the pioneer in the field of education Queen Mary’s School, Tis Hazari, Delhi, profoundly believes in holistic development of children. Hence, we endeavour to cater to their idiosyncrasies by giving them a platform that would bring their latent talents to for and propel them to their next level of confidence. We believe that children are full of ideas and bounties of imagination hence we lay emphasis not only on academics but give equal importance to disciplines like sports, dance, music, art, public speaking and community service. The motive behind this is to promote originality, creativity and a pioneering spirit among students and make them strong citizens of a strong nation. Taking into account the rise in competition in the current times our Principal Dr. Ritu P. Solomon initiated the annual cultural fest ‘OJASVI’ four years ago. Since then Ojasvi has become a regular feature of the annual school calendar. ‘OJASVI’ ignites the young minds and exhorts them to face the future challenges. It provides an opportunity to the participants from different schools of Delhi and NCR to enjoy an array of competitions and have myriad experiences apart from the mundane routine. This year OJASVI was organized from 24th July to 28th July 2018.

The opening ceremony held on 24th July 2018 was presided over by the Principal Dr. Ritu P. Solomon,the Manager Mrs.Rita Wilson. Brig.Jacintha Fernandez, Principal of Nursing School, St. Stephen’s Hospital graced the occasion as the chief guest. The ceremony commenced with the reading of scriptures and prayer by the Manager Mrs. Rita Wilson. The ceremonial lamp was lit by the Principal Dr. Ritu P. Solomon, the Manager,Mrs Rita Wilson and the Chief Guest Brig. JacinthaFernandez; there after the fest was declared open. This year ‘OJASVI’ was overwhelmingly successful with the enthusiastic participation of more than 20 schools in various competitions held during the fest. The fest culminated in a grand award ceremony on 28th July, 2018 where the winners were felicitated and awarded trophies, medals and certificates. Participation certificates were awarded to all the participants. Vote of thanks was proposed by Mrs. Mahajan on behalf of the school expressing gratitude to the teachers and students from the schools of Delhi and NCR for their support and cooperation.
