How did you feel on the first day being a school principal: The transition from being a vice-principal to taking on the reins of St Patrick’s Vidya Bhawan, Jodhpur, as principal strengthened my belief in learning, innovation and creativity.

The best things about being a teacher/leader: Lead from the front, follow best practices, group empowerment, create many leaders, working in an evolving and growing environment.

The traits of an effective principal: Proactive, transparent, open to new learning and new ideas, a dreamer.

Please describe the role you feel parents should play in the operation of the school: Parents are equal partners, they strengthen the school. It should be a mutually planned partnership programme – wherein each one takes on the responsibility of nurturing the child.
