Joining Hands organised INCEPTUM’15: Annual Inter School Debate at the Baha’i Auditorium on August 7, 2015 on the topic ‘Urban Waste-Toxic or Treasure’. It was the fourth successful event in the series of INCEPTUM with participation of twenty-six (26) schools across Delhi- NCR.
The purpose of this initiative is to foster sensitivity and social consciousness amongst youth. It gave the students a platform to engage and interact about the burning issues related to environment and at the same time helped in building capacities of individuals and educational institutions. INCEPTUM’15- Annual Inter School Debate was judged by eminent personalities from the field of urban waste management, environment and social work. The programme was supported by Fru Juicy Jelly, Baha’i House of Worship, WWF-India, Kingdom of Dreams, Urban Chulha and Fieldfresh Foods Private Limited. Students from classes 9 to 12 from various schools across Delhi- NCR were encouraged to participate. First prize was won by debater Barkha Batra, Step by Step School, Noida, second prize by Ji Hun Park, DPS International, third prize by Harshita Diddee, The Heritage School, Vasant Kunj and Best Interjector by Raghav Sharma, Indraprastha International School. The highlight of this event was the new Group Debate format which received an overwhelming response from one and all.
As an extension to INCEPTUM and under our broader vision of creating and health and also conducts workshops with schools and institutions to build their capacities on Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (SHAWP), Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO) and Gender Sensitisation.
