‘Film, Fly, Experience Australia’ Win a fully sponsored student experience in Australia

Australia Future Unlimited Video competition for Indian school students


A fully sponsored student experience for a week in a leading Australian University awaits the winner of the exciting annual ‘Film Fly Experience Australia’ schools video competition for Indian school students.

Organised by The Australian Trade and Investment Commission, Australian Government, the competition is open to students between grades 9 to12 from schools across India. The Film Fly Experience Australia schools video competition will run from 21 December 2018 to 29 March 2019.

The 5th edition of the annual India Schools Video Competition involves production of short videos by students around the themes of

  • Creating my own music
  • Improving Quality of life through humanitarian Engineering and entrepreneurship
  • Data science
  • Improve the lives of those living in smart cities and urban areas
  • UN sustainability goals

Schools can nominate maximum of 20 teams. Each team can select only one theme with a team composition of two students and one teaching staff.

The winning teams for all the five themes will have the opportunity to participate in a student experience at Australian Institute of Music, The Australian National University, Bond University, University of Technology Sydney and University of Wollongong. The winning teams are entitled to return economy flight tickets to Australia for two students and an accompanying teaching staff member, accommodation and other travel and living expenses in Australia.

The competition is sponsored by Australian Institute of Music, The Australian National University, Bond University, RMIT, University of Technology Sydney, University of Wollongong, Allianz and nib.

Registration for the competition commences on Friday, 21 December 2018 and the last date for the submission of competition video entries will be Friday,15 March 2019.

Speaking about the competition, Peter Coleman, Trade Commissioner–South Asia, Australian Trade and Investment Commission said, ‘The Australian Trade and Investment Commission’s Film Fly Experience Australia–annual schools video competition is an exciting opportunity for Indian students to exhibit their creative talents and also an opportunity to experience how Australia can help to boost their career out comes. The 4th edition of the competition, held in 2017-2018, attracted participation from student sin grades 9 to11 from over 400+ schools across India and the winners were from Trinity International School, Mumbai; Tagore International School, New Delhi; Kothari International School, Noida; Alpha Wisdom School, Trichy and Bangalore International School, Bangalore. The winning schools travelled to Macquarie University, RMIT University, Southern Cross University, The University of Queen sland, and University of South Australia between May to August 2017.
